I had the opportunity to visit Ajmer in Rajasthan at such a time when the world famous Pushkar fair was already attracting a large number of visitors, especially the photo enthusiasts from all over the world. I made a point to visit this fair as Pushkar is about 11 km. from Ajmer.
The annual Pushkar fair is held in the month of "Kartika" (October or November) beginning on "Ashtmi", eighth day of lunar calendar and continues till "Purnima" or "Kartik Purnima" (full moon night). Therefore, every year there is a little variation in the dates of the fair.
This provided me an opportunity to visit the sacred Pushkar lake, the only temple of Lord Brahama in the world and see such a large number of camels.
I made a few images of life in Pushkar.
